Free English Lessons: When Free isn’t Free 

English has become one of the most prominent languages in the world. It is widely used in most  international organizations  around the world. After you submit the student sign-up form you will be contacted by ABE for a free phone lesson. After the phone talk each student is given a language level rating, a choice of class times and days, payment details and the student’s choice of topics for the month. Each class is one month long with three hours a week of instruction. Level one is for students with less than one year of language training. Level two is for students with more than one year of language training. For example if you had one year or less  of English you would be a level one English language student.                 ABE TEACHERS:

Many of our teachers are currently teaching in Asia with years of experience in public school and English Academies. They are college graduates who appreciate and respect Asian cultures. A number of ABE teachers are retired  ESL teachers with years of teaching experience in Asia. Our teachers understand the difference between kimchi,mandu,beijing duck and sushi. At your first phone meeting a teacher will ask you what subject you want to focus on and will not make you follow a set lesson plan. If you’re a German businessperson who will be in China for six months then an ABE teacher might suggest you learn about the business culture and vocabulary used in Beijing. To make this learning possible the ABE native Chinese teacher would know intermediate English and the same for the German businessperson. English would be the Bridge Langauge. If available a Chinese native who knows German might be employed for this situation. After each lesson we ask that you send us an email detailing any feedback you might have regarding the quality of your lesson.

  WHAT A STUDENT NEEDS:

  ABE uses a Windows based website and instruction model. Students must know one of the Windows operating systems which includes XP,Vista and Windows 7. Students also should know how to perfect their computer audio settings. Each student should use one of three computer phone programs-a.Yahoo messenger b.Windows messenger or c.Skype. These three software programs are free to download from the Internet. ABE believes Skype has the best audio quality. In addition students should have a quality headset.Also please remember your internet connection should be fast with a cable connection. WIFI(wireless) cant be used with the ABE system.

WHY ABE / Share A Lesson

  ABE is a cooperative of teachers who believe that the traditional business model doesn’t deliver the best learning. Unlike a corporation we don’t have to increase our market share or profit margins to please a group of stockholders who care little about education. We are all teachers not corporate executives. The fees we receive from students are only used for website expenses,advertizing,a managers salary and teachers pay. Our teachers are paid above the internet average because they are the best online language teachers. All of our classes are based on our Share- A -Lesson option. You may when you first pay for a class add a friend to the same class and you then can divide the 12 hours a month between you and your friend. You might take 7 hours and your friend might take 5 hours. You also may take the lesson together at the same place and time. This way you each get 12 hours and you share the teacher’s time together. You learn from your friend while you both  learn from the teacher.

Also please remember that during our website launch sale all classes except the CET and PETS have been reduced by $100 usd. These classes now only cost $260 us dollars. For two  Chinese students who use the ABE Share A Lesson Plan this will mean that each student only pays 880 rmb.

All classes except the CET class are $260 per month, 12 hours a month, 3 hours a week. The CET class is $180 for a month. Now during our website launch sale all of our language classes are only $260 per month.

   REFUNDS:

  CANCELED ClASSES:

 If you need to reschedule a class you must do so 12 hours before your scheduled class.You must send this request to both ABE and your teacher. If you don’t follow this 12 hour rule you loose the lesson with no refund.
